Scholarship Opportunities & Work Trade

Although we strive to keep Between the Rivers affordable, the cost can be prohibitive for some.  We like to offer opportunities for folks to attend for a reduce tuition, or even for free!  Please scroll through the categories below to view what we currently have available.

Work Trade

There are a limited number of work trade positions open each year that usually include breakfast or dinner kitchen work and camp set-up and take-down or maintenance. Work-trade positions receive tuition for a $50 registration/tuition fee, and work hard. If you are interested in work trade please download the form below, complete it and email it to Patrick at patrickf@bridgestothepast.org - OR - send via US Mail to Between the Rivers Work Trade

Local High School Scholarship
We are offering a total of four scholarships to juniors and seniors from our local high schools and homeschool programs in Stevens County. Winning applicants will receive full tuition to the gathering which includes entrance fee for the full event and 2 meals per day. Participants will need to provide their own transportation, tent or other lodging arrangements, eating utensils, and extra fees that may be needed for certain classes (see website for event details). 

Scholarship Essay Criteria: Please address these three areas in 200 words or less. 
  • Why do you want to attend the Between the Rivers gathering?
  • What skills do you hope to gain by attending?
  • How will you use the skills or incorporate these skills into your life?

Application forms and essays are due and must be postmarked no later than, or emailed by April 2nd each year.

Lamplighter Scholarship

Greetings friends and thanks for visiting the BTR website!  I'm the Lamplighter at BTR also known as Adam Brown.  For even if there is just a spark of interest in traditional skills, this scholarship I offer is here to fan the flames.  I've fanned the flames of interest for two others at BTR interested in traditional ancestral skills, community and just straight up  camping!  I'm committed to scholarship one interested adult or attended by an adult youngster for the whole weeks' stay, including meals and classes(not including any additional class fees.)  You just have to find a way to get there!  For more information contact me at fulywobb@hotmail.com and I'll e-mail you the simple application/questionnaire.  Hope to hear from you and see you at BTR!
